Planning to fight three times in 2016, lightweight Gilbert Burns Durinho returns to the UFC in April!

Gilbert Durinho is excited to return to the most famous octagon of the world. No activity since November last year when he met his first career loss against Russian Rashid Magomedov at UFC São Paulo, Gilbert has been training hard to correct the mistakes made in the duel against the Russian. The black belt is eyeing the event that the Ultimate will be held on April 16 in Tampa, Florida (USA).

"I want to fight in April. The UFC confirmed to me that, I will fight in April, but did not confirm in which card. But I'm looking forward to returning soon. I changed my training and improved a lot in my game. I'm working a lot on my foot work, on my defense and my counterattack. I did not get a fight before because I wanted to correct my mistakes and evolve, but April is a good time to go back, "said Burns.

A fight in April would be the first step to Durinho achieving the goal outlined for 2016: get three wins and get into the top 10 in the lightweight division, UFC currently led by the champion Dos Anjos.

“My goal in 2016 is to do three fights this year, winning by dominating my opponents,  three wins and reach the top of the division. As I come from defeat, I do not want to choose an opponent, but of course I prefer someone well knowing or ranked. But my goal is to dominated in my nexts fights win three fights reach the top 10. If I had won my last fight would already be in the top 15, Burns is 10-1, 3-1 in the UFC, 2 bonus of the nights, one win by decision, and one loss by decision.
